UEFA en Konami hebben aangekondigd dat hun samenwerking na de finale van de Champions League finale in Kiev (zaterdag 26 mei) stop zullen zetten.
Dit wil zeggen dat Konami voor hun volgende Pro Evolution Soccer game geen (exclusieve) rechten meer zal hebben tot de Champions en Europa League.

Na tien jaar kan EA Sports dus misschien opnieuw de echte Champions League en Europa League toernooien in FIFA-games laten verschijnen.
