Sony heeft tijdens de Gamescom Opening Night Live show, via Twitter bekend gemaakt dat het Insomniac Games heeft opgekocht.
Insomniac is zo de 14e studio die door Sony opgekocht is. Over het financieel aspect van de opkoop is er niks verteld.
De studio werd in 1994 opgericht en is vooral bekend voor Ratchet & Clanck, Spyro, Resistance en Marvel’s Spider-Man.
